Work with us

Velvet Ticino publishes listings for independent adults working in Canton Ticino. If you are considering publishing yours, here is how it works — plainly.

What we offer

  • A page of your own, with your working name, your photos, your hours, your rates and your contact details. You write it, you change it whenever you like.
  • Direct contact: phone, WhatsApp, Telegram and Instagram are yours. People who look for you write to you, not to us.
  • Visibility in search engines. Every category and every town has its own page, and your listing appears inside it.
  • The Verified mark, once you complete verification.

What we do not do

We take no percentage of what you earn. We do not arrange your meetings, set your prices, decide your hours or tell you what to offer. We are not an agency and we are not your employer: you pay for the shop window, and the shop window is all you are buying.

Verification

To publish you must show us a valid identity document. It confirms that you are of age and that the photos in the listing are you. We keep no copy of the document: we record that verification took place, when, and with what kind of document. It is the reason the mark on this site means something, and the reason we make no exceptions.

The rules

  • You must be at least 18.
  • You must comply with the notification and authorisation obligations that Ticino cantonal rules set for this activity.
  • The photographs must be yours and must show you. Photos of other people mean immediate suspension of the listing, with no refund.
  • You work for yourself. We do not publish listings managed by third parties on someone else's behalf.

The photos

Photos are ninety per cent of the decision someone makes. They do not need to be professional: they need to be recent, sharp, well lit, and to look like you. Images published on listings carry a watermark with our mark, which makes reusing them elsewhere without your consent considerably harder.

You can stop whenever you want

A listing can be deactivated at any time: it disappears from the site and stays ready to be reactivated at the same address, losing no search ranking. Or it can be deleted permanently: in that case data and files are erased within 72 hours and cannot be recovered. They are two different things, and the choice is yours.

How to start

Write to us from the Contact page, saying which town you work in and which category. We reply with timescales, costs and a list of what is needed. No commitment until you have seen everything.

Before you start: what the law requires

This part is not our advice, it is what the Canton requires. It applies to everyone, and it comes before any advertisement.

Who may work in Ticino

You must be a Swiss citizen, or hold a B, C or G work permit, or be a citizen of one of these countries:

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom.

The two mandatory notifications

  • If you do not hold a B, C or G permit you must register online at meweb.admin.ch.
  • You must announce yourself to the TESEU section of the cantonal police, on +41 91 815 50 28.

The Canton's official procedure is here: declaring the practice of prostitution.

We do not file the notification for you and we cannot: it is personal. We publish your advertisement; the rest is between you and the Canton.
